This past weekend marked two years since Free Church began, and we had Richard and Jaci Mun-Gavin spend the weekend with us, sharing their wisdom and charging us for the future! All the catch-up links and notes are below.
Sunday 08:30 Message (Richard)
MARK 5:21-43 NIV
ACCESSIBLE - Are we accessible for people dealing with matters of life and the eternal?
COMPASSIONATE - Can we adjust our ears to ‘overhearing’ in the midst of the jostling?
POWERFUL - Do we speak and display the power of God (life and resurrection) to people and their situations?
Sunday 10:30 Message (Jaci)
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42
You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you, too, are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. Ephesians 2:19-22
Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. Colossians 1:24
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
And Paul lived there for two full years… and welcomed all who came to him, preaching and proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all openness and boldness, unhindered and unrestrained. Acts 28:30
So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. 2 Thessalonians 2:15
